Maureen Gilbertson was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Mantle Cell Lymphoma that has metastasized to her bone marrow.  Maureen is currently undergoing high-dose chemotherapy treatments which leave her feeling ill, weak and exhausted much of the time.   After her chemo is completed Maureen will need to undergo a 3 month regimen for stem cell transplant.  Currently she is not able to work at all.

Maureen's husband Mike has been unable to work for an extended period of time as he recovers from  surgery on his shoulder due to an injury.  He is awaiting surgery on his other shoulder.

Maureen and Mike have been married for 35 years.  They have 5 adult children, one teenager, and are in the process of adopting five small children, ages seven and under.  Mike and Maureen have done foster care for 33 years and have shared their home with more than 75 additional children.

Maureen has worked for 32 years as a Probation Agent in Freeborn County.  She is a member of Bridge Community Church where she has served many roles.  She has served on regional, state and national foster care boards for PATH and Nexus.  She is currently a part of the Kindred Family Focus Advisory Board.

The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.
